Like the Barcelos street images, these scenes from Intendente, Lisboa, made in 2024-25 echo the Portuguese azulejos tradition of blue and white tiles depicting people going about their everyday lives. Unique in this particular set of images are the historical figures painted on the walls behind the contemporary passers-by and the serendipitous resonances and interactions between them.
