In May-June 2026, I am undertaking an artist residency in Mezza Local Café at Esposende in the far north of Portugal. The café is run by chef, Ana Carvalho, and offers fresh home-style cuisine and local natural wines. My primary focus is to capture the ambience of Mezza, its conviviality, and the strong colours, forms and textures of the delicious produce served.
